CERT members are prepared to respond to disasters safely and effectively. They are trained to size up situations, determine the risks involved, and make their own safety the first priority when deciding if they should try to rescue others. You will learn:
• effective methods for conducting search operations
• Identify effective methods for interior search
• safe techniques for debris removal and victim extraction
Current CERT members are encouraged to attend these sessions as refreshers.
